This morning, we enjoyed more needle felting and marble run engineering :) Then, we headed over to the park and discovered someone else’s obstacle course. We decided that the flowers meant “lay down” and the blue blob meant “jump and spin." We didn’t know other kids made obstacle courses too!
We are very into wolves right now because of the story Deidre read to us yesterday. So, we took turns being the wolf and chasing our friends in the big grassy field near the fir trees. We pretended the firs were our home and the place we had to hide from the wolf :)
Later, we went on an adventure over to the pine forest where we searched for an owl and looked in the needles for owl pellets. Autumn told us that she has a book about poop and it has a picture of owl pellets in it! We hope she brings it to school tomorrow so we can see.
We also “built a fire” out of small sticks and pretended a yellow dandelion was the flame. We held our hands near the pretend fire to warm them up.
After rest, we completed a new dinosaur puzzle and made gingerbread cookies out of play dough that actually smelled like gingerbread. Then, we went into the backyard to feed the chickens treats and look for more eggs. Sylvie let the chickens peck treats right out of her hand! She told us that it doesn’t hurt at all, so Autumn said that maybe she’ll try it tomorrow.
