This morning was spent playing imaginative games and building homes for animals & carports for cars. During our morning circle, Deidre told us that kids at Bluebird Montessori borrowed the book we authored and illustrated —Great Horned Owls, What Do They Eat? We were so excited while watching the video of their teacher, Hannah, reading them our book! The kids said they learned so many new things, like the fact that great horned owls eat skunks. The kids at Bluebird also made us a thank you card that we looked at for a long time :) It made us feel good to know that other kids are enjoying our book.
In the park we played Hide the Easter Egg and learned how to make dandelion bracelets. We also had fun drilling holes and hammering nails into scrap cedar wood.
After rest, we painted coffee filters to make butterflies and Ridley threaded his clay beads onto pipe cleaner to make a beautiful necklace. We also made purple and blue glitter playdough, which we took outside to the table for some creative play.
