We’re really enjoying our new pencil grippers! They help us hold our pencil correctly when writing and drawing and are lots of fun to wear.

We spent the morning making birthday cards (just because), folding our back-up clothes before loading them into our special drawer, and creating imaginary worlds with blocks, trains, people, and animals.

After our morning circle and snack, we headed out into the snow to sled down Ty & Sandy’s hill, pull each other along the sidewalk and shovel the neighbor’s walkway to help make it easier for them to move about. We had a blast!

Then, we spotted Mrs. Chiao Chiao across the street and asked her to come to the park with us. She agreed and brought along her two Great Pyrenees pups, which was very exciting. We sledded down the dirt mounds, which we now call “snow mounds” and took turns walking the dogs. Deidre’s phone battery died so she wasn’t able to take any pictures at the park :-/

We ate lunch back at school and talked about our favorite parts of playing in the snow. Ridley’s favorite part what using the snow shovel to clear the pathways and the picnic table in the backyard. Rigel’s favorite part was sledding down the hills. Sylvie’s favorite part was holding Kiki’s leash :)

We ended out day with a dance party, adding the finishing touches to our Great Horned Owl book, and listening to two new stories.

Happy snow day everyone!
