“The snow is hard and you can’t make any tracks!”
We were so curious this morning about the ice that looked like snow, but felt solid and slippery. In the park, we “ice skated” all the way over to the pine forest to check on our friend the owl. Unfortunately, we didn’t find him, but are hopeful we’ll see him soon.

We had an absolute blast running and sliding on our knees, tackling each other to the ground and playing tag. Falling on the ice is just so much fun :)

Back in the classroom, we built an epic obstacle course complete with a bridge, hopscotch, zigzag balance beam, tunnel, ball toss, and fidget popper. The course suddenly became a race and we all became *very* competitive! We laughed a lot while trying to pop all the bubbles on the fidget, which was the last obstacle course station.

After rest, we made name puzzles. We helped cut a photo of our face into strips and then glued the strips onto big popsicle sticks. Deidre wrote the letters of our name on the sticks because it was tricky for us to write on wood. Then, we worked hard to solve the puzzle by putting the pieces in the correct order. It was lots of fun! Once we put our own puzzle together, we switched with a friend and tried to solve their puzzle :)

We ended the day with some games and a read aloud of our favorite chapter in Little Witch Hazel (the one about the haunted stump). Ridley’s dad snapped a photo!
