We had lots of fun this morning with the walkie talkies! Then, we went on an adventure through the tall grasses and under the trees. Eventually, we reached a small creek crossing that was very mucky. We called it the “Mucky Water Path”. We collected lots of sticks and threw them into the muck and then carefully crossed. We were so nervous about falling in, but with the support of our friends, we made it to the other side!
In the pine forest, we set up an ice cream shop. When it got too hot, we moved the shop underneath the table. We took turns being the “checker” and the “customer” and enjoyed lots of flavors like blueberry, grass, and lemon :)
After lunch, Deidre, Ridley, and Sylvie worked together to make a fairy house. We think the tooth fairy might sleep in it tonight! From the house, there is a driveway, then a short road that leads to a playground. The playground has a soft resting area, a rock to climb on and a tiny slide - just the right size for fairies.
After rest, we ate watermelon outside and experimented with a long piece of bamboo at the mud kitchen. We also planted strawberries and fed all the worms we found while digging to the chickens. We ended the day with some cloud gazing, completely initiated by us :) We saw a poop cloud, a seahorse, and a dinosaur. We also saw lots of little white cotton-looking seeds floating around in the air. We’ll have to do some research tomorrow to figure out where they’re coming from.
