Rigel asked for a new math puzzle this morning and worked hard counting all the wheels and writing the corresponding numbers next to each vehicle.
In the park, we played soccer, fished in the creek, invented a new game on some small dirt mounds near the cypress grove, and enjoyed lots of wagon rides in the pine forest.
On our walk back to school, we collected catkins from the oak tree and pretended they were birthday cakes (inspired by our lunchtime read aloud).
After rest, we had lots of fun climbing the new rope ladder, collecting baby plums from the ground and turning them into soup at the mud kitchen, harvesting and eating our first peas, watering the garden, and running through the “rain” (aka hose) until we were soaked :)
