We all decided that we wanted to do yoga this morning and so pulled down the basket of yoga cards and took turns choosing the position. Our favorite is Community Circle where we all hold hands and pass a squeeze around the circle :)
A while later we noticed that several more butterflies were emerging from their chrysalises! It was very exciting!! We watched as they dried their crinkled wings and fluttered around the butterfly house.
In the park, we visited Grandmother Catalpa. We pretended her hollow was a hospital :) Rigel gave everyone a ride in the wagon to the hospital to be treated for their condition. Ridley had a broken leg. Sylvie was giving birth. Autumn needed her pegasus wing repaired.
After many more wagon rides, we ate lunch under a spruce. We noticed how the spruce needles and branches looked different than those of the fir and pine trees. We also noticed their similarities!
On our walk back to school, we found a nest and a broken egg on the ground. The nest was empty and the broken egg didn’t look like a robin egg. We did some quick research on Deidre’s phone and learned that the egg belonged to a wren. We think that if we put the wren egg in the nest it might hatch.
After rest, we watered our Mother’s Day basil plants, released our five painted lady butterflies, found new plants to feed to chickens, and designed new waterways at the mud kitchen :)
Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mamas!!
