We headed to the park extra early this morning to try and beat the storm. On our way, we found two electric scooters that had fallen down. We spent quite a while pushing buttons, pulling the brake handles and ringing the bells :)

When we arrived at the Bird Sanctuary, we heard a loud, high-pitched sound that we thought might be a bird. Then we remembered that frogs also sing songs and started following the sound while searching for a frog. Sure enough, it WAS a frog and she was taking a bath under the little waterfall! We watched her swim around for a while and then used sticks to look for her floating eggs. We didn’t end up finding any eggs, but had fun nonetheless.

We also had a chance to try out our new walkie talkies today. We mostly stood close together and said things like: “Hi” and “Come here right now!” and “Can you hear me?”
We’re still learning how to hold the button down while we’re speaking :)

Once the big storm rolled in, we raced back to school and got busy playing Go Fish, drawing self portraits, expanding the train station to include a new parking lot where kids get dropped off for school, and playing a fun round of animal charades. Our favorite animals to act out are: penguins, skunks, snakes, ducks and elephants.

After rest, we stamped our names into playdough, made sparkle sand cupcakes at the sensory station, and ended the day by making pattern worms out of beads and pipe cleaner at the art table.

We missed Ridley today and hope he feels better soon!! We can’t wait to show him how the walkie talkies work!
