After having lots of fun making more pattern worms this morning, we headed upstairs and made almond butter brownies. We were so excited to use some of the maple syrup we made (plus some store bought) and laughed a lot when Rigel dumped the cacao powder into the bowl and it made a big cloud of chocolate dust :)

In the park, we visited the Bird Sanctuary again in search of more frogs. Unfortunately, we didn’t find any today, but we did find lots and lots of violets for more violet lemonade. We also had a blast using our walkie talkies! Rigel enjoyed singing the Violet Song through the walkie talkie to Autumn and Sylvie.
Rigel: Sings Violet Song
Sylvie: We loved that!
Rigel: Thank you
Sylvie: Thank you too

For lunch, we walked over to the pine forest and ate in a patch of sunshine. Then, we invented a new game called “Hide the Chalk.” One friend hides the chalk behind a tree while the other friends close their eyes and count. This game went on for a very long time :)

After rest, we devoured the brownies and made lemonade. We were excited for Ridley to see how the blue violet water magically turns purple once the lemon juice is added. We also sculpted little nests and eggs. We can’t wait for them to dry over the weekend so that we can paint them on Monday!
