We loved playing with the train again this morning and added a block tunnel and train station to our little imaginary world.

Before heading to the park, we worked on some surprises for our families :) One of the surprises involved finger painting, which was a huge highlight for everyone!

In the park, Sylvie and Autumn collected long branches and worked together to balance them against the foliage of the pine trees. Then, we all wanted to walk across the field to see the blow-up snow person up close. It was a long walk, but well worth it ;)

On our walk back to the pine forest, we stopped at the sycamore tree to play on his one long, low hanging limb. We love hanging on trees! Nearby, we spotted some bright red holly berries. We had a blast picking them off the branches and pretending they possessed magic (who knows, maybe they do!) and then seeing how far we could throw them.

The highlight of the day was discovering that we could jump across the moat near the dragon’s bridge. It took a lot of courage, but once we did it, there was no turning back. We made up a jumping game that lasted quite a long time. Eventually everyone said that their “heart was tired” and so we continued our journey back to the pine forest.

While we were eating lunch, we spotted a fox running across the grass about 30 feet from where we were sitting. It was so cool! The fox ran all the way to Arsenal and then crossed the street!

Before we headed back to school, we sat for a long time watching our friend, the owl, high up in one of the pines. We tried to use our binoculars to get a closer look, but it was a bit too tricky.

We ended our day with a pattern game and then a silly dance party!
