Sylvie learned how to use the hot glue gun by herself today, which was very exciting! Then, she showed Autumn how to use it carefully , pointing out the “hot parts” and reminding her to set the glue gun down on the tray while sticking things onto the cardboard.
On our way to the park, we checked the chicken’s nesting boxes and found two eggs! We want to bake a cake with the eggs :)
Near the pine forest, we played “goose goose duck duck” and then searched for giant sticks int he pine needles. We had fun pretending the sticks were a train to ride on. We ran around with our sticks, hooting at the Great Horned owl up in the trees.
A while later, we wandered over to the cypress grove and explored the creek bed. We loved climbing on the tree roots. Sylvie pretended to be stuck and tricked us all :) We also adventured through the tunnel under the bridge and romped around the all the leaves.
On our walk back to school, we found a low sycamore branch. It was perfect for riding on!
After rest, we build garages and towers with blocks, decorated popsicle sticks with craft materials, completed the dinosaur puzzle (such a big accomplishment!), played with our new owl felt board pieces, and listened to a story at the circle rug.
We had a great day back and just hope the weather warms up a bit!
