We returned to the dirt mounds for another day of fun! Today we pretended that each pile was a train car and that the space between the piles was deep water. The object of the game was to try to stay in a train and not get stuck in the water :)

We also enjoyed balancing along the long green benches near the dirt mounds. We pretended the end of the bench was a diving board and had fun leaping off into the grass.

While we ate lunch, we tried to find the beginning sound of each of our food items. “Huh huh huh hummus!” The game got us very excited about letter sounds and we began wondering which letters are at the beginning of other words. “What does bug start with"?” “Buh buh bug!” “B!!”

After lunch, we visited the little spruce tree to see if our cranberry decorations were still there. To our surprise, they were!! We rearranged our decorations a bit and then headed over to the fir trees to play a game called, Wolf’s Coming. We also straddled the branches and pretended we were on a rollercoaster.

On our walk back to school, we found a picture of cherries drawn with chalk and Ridley and Autumn pretended to eat them :)

After rest, we cut out tanagrams from our Ladybug magazine and formed them into animal shapes. Then, we headed outside to soak up the warmer weather, forage greens from the garden, and pet the chickens.
