We were so excited to see that the library books we picked out last week had arrived at school! Rigel took us all on a “picture walk” and narrated what was happening on each page of his new train book :)

Sylvie and Autumn had fun at the sticker station creating hand drawn stickers for everyone they love.

In the pine forest, we visited Grandfather Great Horn (the owl), collected lots of sticks, played hide and seek, and explored the prairie grasses until we stumbled upon a little bridge. We each took turns crossing — being careful not to fall into the deep water below. Then, we discovered that a large section of the stream was frozen solid. This set us on a new search for long sticks to poke the ice.

Across the stream, through the tall grass and over the hill, we collected pine cones and arranged them around the trunk of a tree. We found green pine needles, which became a blanket…and a walnut shell, which became a baby. We also collected handfuls of gravel from the nearby path, which became snow.

Then, we ran and ran and ran!

After rest, we played dress up. There were only three dresses, so we took turns trying them on, twirling around and pretending to be characters from Encanto and Frozen :) Then, we made our way outside to sing our goodbye song, feed the chickens treats, and explore ice at the bottom of the metal trough.

It’s great to be back!
