This morning was our first day of Show and Tell and we were very excited to see what Sylvie brought from home! We had a blast learning about and then playing with her motorized Daniel Tiger bus. There’s even a button you can push that plays dance music and we all had fun dancing around the classroom :)

The chickens are laying the most beautiful eggs now and we look forward to collecting them each day before we head to the park. We’re still waiting for Birthday Cake to start laying and decided that making a trail of food that leads into the coop will help her know where to go when the time is right.

In the park, we invented a new game called Daffodil Maze. You have to try and walk through the patches of baby daffodils without stepping on any. It was lots of fun!

We also played barefoot on the big magnolia tree. We pretended it was a hospital and that we were helping a girl named Alma who “had a pain that needed to get fixed.” Then we crumpled dried leaves onto our lunchboxes to make “salads” that we served to one another :)

After rest, we prepared blueberry oatmeal for snack. We enjoyed mixing the hot water and oats together until they turned mushy. We also liked squeezing the honey bear and saying ‘thank you’ to our backyard bees.

We ended the day with shaving cream play at the mud kitchen. We are very into volcanoes and pretended that the shaving cream was lava!
