We were SO excited to check on the maple sap this morning and couldn’t believe our eyes when we found the bucket half full!
In the park, we busted out a new pack of sidewalk chalk to spruce up our obstacle course. We added a new spider web and a picture of hands, which indicate you must clap when you land on that spot. Then, we kicked our shoes off and played frisbee, climbed the sycamore, and adventured all the way over to the end of the creek near the horses.
Autumn and Rigel climbed very high in the cedar tree and found a hanging plastic box with a notepad inside. We’re always finding little hidden treasures :)
We had a blast cooling off in the creek and looking for “islands” to stand on. We made up a spontaneous group song about living on the big island and staying there forever.
After rest, we enjoyed more water play at the newly-located mud kitchen. We washed the dirt off all of our cups and dishes with soapy water and had fun pretending to make maple syrup and other delicious creations.
We’re looking forward to collecting the sap tomorrow morning!
