Another day, another fabulous train setup! Today, our train world included parking spots for cars, a beautiful tunnel and lots of roundabouts :)
We had fun playing soccer in the park and worked through some big feelings as we figured out how to share the ball and include everyone in the game. Once we got the hang of it, we had a blast.
We also invented a new game called Chomp. One friend sits in the grass and the other friends sneak up and gently touch the sitting friend on the head. The sitting friend then growls and chomps, startling the standing friends and causing them to run away screaming. We played this game over and over again!
Back at school, we decided it was warm enough to eat lunch outside. We enjoyed the novel experience of eating at the picnic table.
Then, we stayed outside and mixed various colors of water together at the mud kitchen. We also used the balance scale to experiment with “heavier” and “lighter” by adding differing amounts of water to each bucket.
We ended the day with a tea party and read aloud of Tea Party In The Woods. We were excited about all of the fancy cups to choose from and were surprised when we poured the tea and it was PINK! We also decided it was time to trim the red cabbage sprouts. We thought they were yummy and much less spicy than the radish sprouts.
