We had lots of fun this morning building and playing in a rainbow fort! We pretended to be a family and did lots of things together. We watched shows on TV, ate popcorn, drove to school, played golf, and worked :)

In the park we thoroughly enjoyed our new wagon. We insisted on pulling it to and from the park and gave each other rides around the hospital tree. It took a lot of communicating and compromising to figure out who got to ride in the wagon, who got to pull, and who got to push. It wasn’t always easy, but we pushed through the hard parts and found our rhythm.

After lunch, Sylvie and Autumn hid the soccer ball under their clothes and pretended they were having babies :) :) Ridley wrapped himself up in our blanket and pretended he was a rainbow butterfly making a chrysalis. Rigel helped the butterfly emerge and everyone flew around in the grass before heading back to school.

After rest, we played outside for a short while before the rain started. We painted flower pots, checked on the bees in the pear tree and visited the nest in the front yard. We were SO excited to find hatchlings in the nest!!! We had a long discussion about why their eyes are closed and where the mama is and how they are going to see a snake if it comes to eat them.

We ended our day with lots of silly yoga and a story about what to do with our anger. We’re working through some big emotions at school and learning how to cool down when something makes us feel upset :)
